Rendering Unconscious is a podcast about psychoanalysis and more hosted by Dr. Vanessa Sinclair, a psychoanalyst and clinical psychologist in independent practice in NYC. Dr. Sinclair sees patients internationally, specialising in online and remote treatment for entrepreneurs, creatives and business people who travel, offering continuity and quality of care for modern people on the go. A founding member of Das Unbehagen: A Free Association for Psychoanalysis, she facilitates lectures, events and conferences, including On Violence and Psychoanalysis (2015) with fellow psychoanalyst Manya Steinkoler, which has evolved into a book forthcoming On Psychoanalysis and Violence: Contemporary Lacanian Perspectives (Routledge, 2019) Most recently, she authored Switching Mirrors (2016) a book of cut-up poetry, and edited an anthology of papers presented at the Psychoanalysis, Art & the Occult (2016) conference co-hosted with Carl Abrahamsson, as a special edition of The Fenris Wolf, volume 9 (2017) both available from Trapart Books. She is currently editing a collection of contemporary psychoanalytic writing and poetry under the title Rendering Unconscious to be released by Trapart (2019) and is working on an upcoming book Scansion in Psychoanalysis and Art: The Cut in Creation (Routledge, 2019). Together with artist Katelan Foisy, she explores the magic and creativity of the cut-up method and third mind. A book of their work Chaos of the Third Mind is upcoming from Fulgur Ltd (2019).
