Mary Kim Brewster, PhD received her PhD in Clinical Psychology from the City University in New York in 1999. She also has an MBA from Columbia University. She is a supervisor of family therapy in the Doctoral Program in Clinical Psychology at the City University of New York, and at the Child Studies Center at the New York University School of Medicine. Dr. Brewster has presented nationally on the topic of the impact of work on women’s development, identity, and family relationships. She has a private practice in Manhattan.

Carter J. Carter Ph.D, LICSW received his BA in Cultural Anthropology and Middle Eastern & Islamic Studies from New York University, MSW from the Simmons University School of Social Work, and Ph.D from the Smith College School for Social Work. He also earned a post-graduate certificate in psychoanalytic psychotherapy from the Massachusetts Institute for Psychoanalysis.  He is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Psychology at the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts, and a Lecturer in the Doctorate in Clinical Social Work program at the University of Pennsylvania School of Social Policy and Practice
